OUR HISTORY
The association "Hope for Us – 2008" was founded by a group of young people who grew up in the “A. Zlatarov” home for children deprived of parental care in Vratsa together with their supporters. They were united by a shared mission: to support the development of children and young people with fewer opportunities.
Over the years, our initial target group matured into young adults in need of support for social and professional integration. This led us to focus our efforts on providing employment opportunities for women facing socio-economic inequality by establishing a micro social enterprise for bio-cosmetics production.
In recent years, we have expanded our “learning by doing” approach to include activities for young people, organizing eco-camps and developing an eco-educational hub that fosters environmental awareness and active citizenship.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the NGO is to promote a green and healthy lifestyle among people, to provide quality non-formal education for youngsters, which will bring positive social and environmental change and will benefit the individual and society as a whole.
Currently the NGO's main activities are:
-Development of Youth educational eco-hub „Amorea“ based on learning by doing approach which is located in the eco-community of Bunovo village (read more)
-The NGO has established a social enterprise for bio-cosmetics in the city Of Plovdiv, which provides supporting first-job work environment for youngsters from institutions - https://www.qqnatural.com/stores
OUR TEAM
Our team consists of specialists and trainers with different interests, knowledge, skills and professional experience that complement each other. This gives us the opportunity to meet different needs for trainings, provides us with a wide range of activities that we can offer, gives us flexibility and the capacity to provide quality training programs
Gavril Stefanov
Founder of the association
A courageous and determined youth leader who grew up in the “A. Zlatarov” home for children deprived of parental care in Vratsa – was the key founder of the association "Hope for us – 2008". His unwavering passion and commitment were a driving force behind the organization’s development for over a decade. More recently, Gavril has devoted himself to new challenges, focusing on achievements in both business and family life.
Dr. Tsvetelina Stoyanova
Known as Tsvety – has been not only a successful businesswoman but also a dedicated supporter of the young people from the “A. Zlatarov” home. As a co-founder of "Hope for us – 2008", she played a crucial role in ensuring the organization’s financial sustainability by designing and managing grant-funded projects. Tsvety is also a passionate eco-activist and a committed social entrepreneur.
Antonia Slavova
became a key figure within the organization through her deep commitment to social entrepreneurship and her strong desire to support women in disadvantaged socio-economic situations, including girls from children’s homes. She manages the organization's micro social enterprise for bio-cosmetics and is the creator of the natural cosmetics brand QQ Natural.
Monika Nikolaeva
She had a dream of creating a place to provide informal education where people could reconnect with nature and themselves.
She started Amorea Garden in 2018. For the first few years, she organized various projects with other associations. Starting in 2021, she dedicated herself to managing projects with Hope for Us.
Romain
Romain joined the Eco Hub in 2020 as a technical assistant.
He takes care of construction projects, teaches eco-building, and is the webmaster.
Coming from the field of alternative healing, he is an autodidact who likes to encourage others to develop new skills.
